The 12-year-old skier, from Ashbourne and a member of the ESF Val Thorens Club, won the female British Ski Cross Championship (under-12) and the British Ski Cross Championship (under-14).

Elektra says: "I am a finalist for Derbyshire Junior Sportsperson of the Year, British indoor ski cross champion for under-12 girls and British ski cross champion for under-12 girls.

"I have also been a finalist in the Coq D'Or , the French Ski championships for children, third place overall in the Audi Ski Cross Tour, won the Swedish Ski Cross Cup and been a finalist in the Etoile D'Or, a French national giant slalom race with over 850 competitors.

"In the French championships (Coq D'Or) I was the highest placed Under-12 girl of anyone in my training base of Val Thorens.

"I am a member of Club ESF United Val Thorens, which is in the Savoie in the French alps. All of my skiing is taught in French, and due to the distances involved with training and racing I travelled over 15,000 miles just for skiing last season."
