North Derbyshire Disability Sports Network

The North Derbyshire Disability Sport Network is a newly formed group that has an aim of developing sporting opportunities for disabled people in the districts of Bolsover, Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire.

Other groups similar to this around Derbyshire have been successful in identifying gaps in provision and have worked to increase accessible sports clubs and activities.

An aim of the group will be to influence the mainstream sports agenda and ensure that local providers deliver integrated and inclusive sports and physical activities.

The groups first successful funding award was £5000 to develop Boccia in the 3 local authority areas of Bolsover, Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire. Watch this web site for developments.
