High Peak Disability Sports Group
The aim of this group is to develop sporting opportunities for disabled people (adults and children) in the High Peak area. The group has members including:
- Disabled sports people
- Parents/Carers
- High Peak Borough Council
- Social Services
- High Peak and Dales Primary Care Trust
- Local clubs
- Schools/Colleges
- Volunteers
The group has an open policy for anyone who may have an interest in getting involved in developing opportunities in sport for disabled people. The group meets on a quarterly basis.
Aims for the future include seeking funding for specified projects or clubs to include equipment and coach education.
