The 18-year-old, from Linton, is a member of Swadlincote Rifle and Pistol Club and competes in the mens' 50m Prone and mens' 10m Air Rifle. He is part of the Great Britain Junior Rifle Squad and in May he won silver in the Junior Men's 50m Prone at the ESSU Championships.
David says: "I currently train two to three evenings a week locally and two or three weekends a month with the Great Britain Junior Rifle Squad, a regional rifle squad and the England Academy, Usually at Aldersley near Wolverhampton or at Bisley in Surrey.
"My first goal this season is to shoot a qualifying score at the Surrey Open in November so that I am eligible for selection to compete internationally at Intershoot 2016 in the Netherlands.
"I am now a member of the ESSU and have recently been invited to shoot with the England Academy. My long term goal through the Academy is that I have two-and-a-half years to prepare for selection for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
"I have various national and international competitions lined for the rest of this year and 2016 for which my goal for each competition is to qualify in the top eight so that I then can shoot in a final to compete for medals."
