Derbyshire High Quality School Competition Plan
The Derbyshire Competition Manager team has developed the High Quality School Competition Plan for the county in association with a wide range of partners.
The Plan sets out how inter-school competition will be developed in six “priority sports” up to March 2011. These priority sports were chosen in consultation with local partners to reflect the potential to significantly increase inter-school competition across the county. The priority sports are:
- Athletics
- Cricket
- Dance
- Gymnastics
- Multi Skill
- Orienteering
The High Quality School Competition Plan is designed to allow sufficient flexibility for Competition Managers and their local and county-wide partners to develop competitions in other sports to reflect local priorities.
A localised planning process is taking place to ensure that the county plan can be realised at a local level. Local plans will also identify local priorities for development alongside those identified in the county plan.
