The group is chaired by Paul Boshell, Derbyshire Primary Care Trust paul.boshell@derbyshirecountypct.nhs.uk and the secretariat is provided by Chris Nightingale, High Peak Borough Council chrisnightingale@highpeak.gov.uk
Over the five years since the CSN was established the group has supported a number of projects including the development of a CIF funded mutli themed sport and physical activity programmes to engage families and males over 45. This programme was completed in August 2011 after 3 years with over 3,000 people engaged and 16,000 attendances on activities.
Other projects the group has helped fund or support include:
Funding support for the establishment of the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales Leadership Academy
Funding support for the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales Olympic Year 2 Go Event
Supported Sport Relief Miles across the Borough in both 2008 and 2010
Supported and spnonsored the High Peak Sports Awards for the last 3 years
