Amber Valley Active was set up autumn 2006.

Amber Valley Sport and Leisure Development Group
Amber Valley Disability Leisure Development Group
The group is chaired by Paul Goodley of Amber Valley School Sports Partnership paul.goodley@swanwicksportscollege.derbyshire.sch.uk and the secretariat is provided by Sharon Brown of Amber Valley Borough Council sharon.brown@ambervalley.gov.uk.
In 2008 Amber Valley Active submitted a successful funding bid to Sport England to deliver a multi-themed project focusing on dance, swimming for fitness and disability sport.
