Cameron Orr

Cameron Orr.

Cameron is a 17-year-old Cross Country mountain bike rider from Bonsall, who has competed for Great Britain in his age groups at the World Championships and also secured World Series results of 28th, eighth and fourth. He also finished runner-up in the junior category of the British Cycling National Cross Country MTB Championships.

Cameron says: "I am currently starting to build for the 2017 season, which, for XC MTB starts early spring. Being a rider on British Cycling's Junior Academy programme is awesome, as I have access to an excellent coach, as well as support from the NGB.

"In October half term I had my first training camp of the season based in Manchester, which involved skills workshops and important contact with coaches and staff members for things such as strength and conditioning sessions and workouts which can be done at home.

"My goals for 2017 are to be British National Champion, to be selected for European and World Championships, to finish consistently in the top five at Junior World Series rounds and be selected for British Cycling's Senior Academy Programme for 2017-2018.

"My sporting ambitions are to be a part of the history of my sport, and enjoy every minute of it, hopefully travelling the world and meeting great people along the way."
