Calli is a 23-year-old athlete from Killamarsh who competes for the University of New Mexico in the USA and was selected to run for Great Britain in the European Cross Country Championships, where she won a gold medal as part of the under-23 team.
Calli says: "Competing for the University of New Mexico, I have gained All American honours indoors over 3000m and outdoors over 5000m, as well as cross country - and we were crowned NCCA national 2015 team champions.
"I was proud to represent Great Britain in the Under-23 European Cross Country Championships, winning team gold, and also over 5,000m finishing fifth.
"I am a former England champion over 800m indoors (Under-17) and outdoors over 5,000m (Under-23), so it just goes to show that trying different events and perseverance pays off!
"My goals for this coming year are to try and defend our team NCCA Cross Country title and to gain All American honours in the indoor and outdoor season.I
"I hope to make the Great Britain team on home soil in London 2017 for the World Championships.
"My long-term goal is to represent Great Britain for many years to come with my ultimate goal making the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
"My weekly training in the winter consists of runs between six and 12 miles, along with other sessions. I also include weights and cross training routines."
