13-year-old Caitlin is an artistic gymnast from Repton who attends John Port School and is a member of the Nottingham Gymnastics Academy. She competed at the British Championships for her age group in December 2015 where she was fourth in her age group, helping her gain selection for the second year running to England's Women's Artistic Gymnastics squad.
Caitlin says: "I train for 24+ hours a week at the Nottingham Gymnastics Academy with my team coach Jemma Wilson. I successfully trialled and was selected to compete for the England Team in October 2016 but unfortunately had a bad fall and strained my ankle which put me out of the competition. My short term goals continue to be to accomplish new skills hence increasing the difficulty in all my routines for Floor, Bars, Beam and Vault. In 2017 I will move to the Junior Age group (14/15 years) and am eligible to compete at the prestigious British Championships at the Echo Arena in Liverpool alongside all the GB Elites from Junior and Senior (16+) age groups.
"I take my gymnastics journey one big competition at a time. However my long-term ultimate goals would be selection for GB at Junior and/or Senior levels and stay ranked in the top 10 in GB in my age group."
