The 14-year-old, from Holymoorside, is a member of Derbyshire CCC Ladies' first XI squad and has been selected for the Under-15 England Women's Development Programme, along with the equivalent England Pathway squad in Lacrosse.
Bess says: "I had the highest strike rate in the County under-15s cricket team this year and was Player of the Match at the England Under-15 Competitions in Shrewsbury this summer.
"My current training includes daily strength and conditioning as part of a tailored Personal Development Plan worked on with the England Coaching Staff, weekly Derbyshire County Emerging Players Programme cricket training at Chellaston Academy developing fitness as well as core cricket and fielding skills, weekly Derbyshire County Under-15 Squad training and tailored County Cricket Wicket Keeping sessions.
"I also attend Monthly three day camps at Regional ECB Cricket Performance Centres with the England Women's Development Programme, which includes fitness testing, strength and endurance training, cricket skills and clinics, nutrition, physiotherapy and sport psychology.
"There's also winter nets training with local Baslow and Chesterfield Barbarians Cricket Clubs and I receive one-to-one specialist coaching with an ex-England International player.
Alongside my cricket, I play lacrosse with English Lacrosse's Under-15s Talent Pathway at Regional level and club level with Sheffield Steelers.
"I also play for Notts, Lincs, and Derbys (NLD) Under-15s and was recently nominated for Regional trials. I train three times a week for rugby and have recently helped set up a girls' team at Chesterfield Panthers RUFC.
"I coach tag rugby and cricket at Junior Schools across Chesterfield with my dad and brother.
"My season goals are to play at a high standard as both a Wicket-keeper and Batswoman at Club, County and England levels, to play and tour again with County Senior Ladies –as well as all the age groups in-between - to score my first county century and maintain highest County strike rate in County Under-15s.
"My sporting ambitions are to progress through the England Women's Cricket Pathway and play for England, to play rugby at Regional level and be nominated for England, to progress through English Lacrosse Talent Pathway and represent England and to inspire more girls in Derbyshire to play sport."
