The 17-year-old triathlete, from Derby and a student at Landau Forte College, is a member of the East Midlands Regional Academy, who took second place in London Triathlon's Elite Junior Super Series.
Barclay says: "I train with City of Derby Swimming Club , the East Midlands Regional Triathlon Academy, the British Triathlon England Talent squad and with the Loughborough University performance squad . I swim, cycles and run daily.
"I qualified to represent Great Britain in the European youth relays earlier this year after a very pleasing performance at Blenheim Triathlon, despite just returning from a stress fracture injury.
"My season went from strength to strength with silver at the London Triathlon and other strong performances in the National Junior Super Series, which secured overall sixth place in the series for 2015.
"With two more years as a junior, I'm hoping the future looks promising. I am currently ranked fourth junior in the country and am hoping to represent Great Britain in European / World Cup races next season."
