Archie Hazeldine

Archie Hazeldine.

Archie is a 12-year-old ice player from Ilkeston who plays for the Nottingham Ice Hockey Club and is a student at the Kirk Hallam Community Academy. He has played for the England Development Team and Midlands ConferenceUnder-13s team and won a National Finals gold medal with Nottingham Tiger Cubs Under-13s.

Archie says: "I represented the U13 Midlands Conference Ice Hockey Team last season and attended a tournament in Paris, France during March 2016. Although I did not win this tournament ,it was great for team building ahead of the main ice hockey conference tournament in Sheffield in May 2016, with the team finishing in third place.

"Alongside this, I made the England Development Squad and travelled to Prague for an international tournament in February 2016.

"I have been playing Ice Hockey since he was five years old and am a member of the Nottingham Ice Hockey Club playing for the Under-13 Nottingham Tiger Cubs.

"Last year saw the Under-13s winning the National Finals and finish second in the league. I have just secured a place in the Under-13s conference team for the coming season and have trials for both England Under-13s and Under-14s.

"I hope to one day follow in my brother Joseph's footsteps by playing for England and then one day Great Britain."
