Amy is a 16-year-old swimmer from Killamarsh who swims for the City of Sheffield club and has been selected to represent the England Talent squad in Italy following excellent performances at the British National Championships.
Amy says: "I currently train at The City of Sheffield Swim Squad, nine times a week this includes four mornings starting at 5.30am and five evening sessions starting at 4pm. In addition to this I do four landwork based sessions, which consist of one medball and stretch cord, and three circuit based. The circuits can vary from weight to non weight exercises. After each session I stretch to improve and maintain flexibility and to recover for the next day.
"This season I have qualified for the British Championships 2017 which are due to be held in Sheffield. I hope to continue to improve by achieving a pb and hopefully try to make a GB team. I have qualified for the 200IM, 400IM, 100m and 200m breast. I also want do well at the British Summer Championships to end my season on a high.
"My long-term goal is to carry on improving and represent GB at a senior international level as well as continuing to represent The City of Sheffield where I have been since the age of eight."
