Adam is a 14-year-old bike trial competitor from Dronfield Woodhouse who attends Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School. He competed for Great Britain in the UCI World Youth Games, winning the gold medal in the 13-14 year old category finsihed second in the BIU World Championships and winning the BIU European Championship.
Adam says: "I am working hard in the off-season on specific techniques on the bike and building up strength in the gym as the obstacles I will have to contend with are getting bigger and bigger.
"The big goal for 2017 is to win the BikeTrial International Union World Championship in Spain in August, along with the BIU European Championship in France and the BIU British Championship.
The UCI World Youth Games will be held in Denmark and will be a tough test as I have to move up an age category.
"It is hoped I have done enough in 2016 for the UK governing body to move me up into the elite category for 2017 so I can start to get experience on the really hard obstacles to prepare me for the 2018 season.
"At that point, I can start riding in the UCI World Cup events and the path to my long-term goal of establishing myself as one of the top elite riders in the world."
