There are a wealth of activities and events going on across Ripley that you can get involved in.

Listed below are six great places to get started, but you can search for lots more opportunities using the activity finder.

Ripley Leisure Centre

Ripley Leisure Centre has a range of activities on offer. This includes over 60 classes each week, gym, badminton and swimming.

Booticamp Babes

At Booticamp Babes, the friendly and experienced instructors make sure you receive the appropriate training for your level of fitness. If you are not able to perform a press up, a squat or a sit up...don't be disheartened. They will help you to progress in a fun and encouraging environment, ensuring a positive session, each and every time you train.

Following a unique Real Women Real Results plan™, you will be loving your new shape and sexy defined curves in just a few short weeks.

Booticamp Babes offers a unique and fun environment in which to reach your personal fitness goals. Their fitness classes provide a great alternative to traditional "boot camps" and mundane "work outs" at the gym. They cater for Beginners, Intermediates & Advanced Fitness Enthusiasts.

Ripley Absolute Beginners - JOG Derbyshire group

This group is open to beginners who have never jogged before, are fairly new to jogging or are training up to 10k! The group runs on Sunday mornings at 9.15am (meet at 9.00 am) from Ripley Leisure Centre.

Ripley and Alfreton Tennis Club

Ripley and Alfreton Tennis Club is located off Heage Road, Ripley. It runs a Ladies night on a Tuesday evening, and has options available for both members and non members.

Ripley and Alfreton Tennis Club have recently undergone a refurbishment of the Clubhouse and courts. Friendly coaches are on hand to answer questions and give tips and advice.

Group Fitness

Group Fitness is based in Loscoe, and offers a wide range of classes and gym based activities.

Sally Green, one of the Ripley Girls Can Ambassadors, works at Group Fitness and is on hand to answer your questions and show you what you need to know.

Walking for Health

Walking for Health offers a range of short, led, group walks.

There is a 30 minutes beginners walk, leaving from Ripley leisure Centre at 1pm every Friday, and a more advanced walk lasting 60 - 90 minutes on a Tuesday at 11am.

If you love nature, a monthly woodland walk in Waingroves Woods takes place on the first Tuesday of every month.
