What we do

We are a county sports partnership providing the strategic lead for sport in Derbyshire.

We are a partnership of agencies from the local community, education and sports that is committed to working together to provide a single system to improve the quality of life for the people of Derbyshire through sport and active recreation.

We cover the county of Derbyshire including the city of Derby and the Derbyshire part of the Peak District National Park.Derbyshire Sport is the two-way link between local action based on local need and regional or national policy - influencing their understanding, interpretation and deployment and seeking to ensure that sports development is driven through the plans of national governing bodies.

Fundamentally independent, we are part of the national network of 49 county sports partnerships. Ultimately our goal is attracting resources into Derbyshire and into sport and using them towards realising our vision of "making sport a part of everyone's life".
