Derbyshire Sport is a voluntary partnership.
The Derbyshire Sport Partnership Group sets the goals, and policies of Derbyshire Sport. Each membership organisation can nominate a representative to sit on the Partnership Group. It tends to meet three times each year, one of these meetings being the Annual General Meeting.
The role of Partnership Group is to:
determine major policies and principles of Derbyshire Sport
approve the business plan, annual operating plan and accounts and Annual Report
appoint the Derbyshire Sport Executive Group
review the structure and membership of Derbyshire Sport as required and to approve new members.
The Derbyshire Sport Executive Group is a smaller group which is appointed by the Partnership Group to influence the day to day work of the Derbyshire Sport staff. It generally meets four times each year.
The role of the Executive Group is to:
ensure the policies and principles agreed by Derbyshire Sport Partnership Group are upheld
ensure the production and implementation of a Derbyshire Sport Business Plan
set annual objectives and agree an annual Delivery Plan for the Derbyshire Sport staff team
monitor and review action plans and budgets.
Both the Partnership Group and the Executive Group are chaired by the chair of Derbyshire Sport, currently Councillor Carol Hart.
