Event 2 - 17th June 2004
SUMMARY
1. The concept of change was considered and the following 7 components were identified:
- Pressure for change
- Clear shared vision
- Capacity for change
- Actionable first steps
- Model the way
- Reinforce and solidify change
- Evaluate and improve
2. A model for change was also considered and agreed as follows:
- ORIENTATION – pointing out the problem
- PREPARATION – gathering pertinent data
- ANALYSIS – breaking down the relevant material
- IDEATION – piling up alternatives by way of ideas
- INCUBATION – letting up to invite illumination
- SYNTHESIS – putting the pieces together
- EVALUATION – judging the resulting ideas
3. The group completed an exercise on ‘relationship mapping’ whereby agencies were identified with whom the Partnership currently works, and the nature of the relationship was expressed in the form of a line. A map was developed which is available from Nikki Enoch on request.
4. A questionnaire for consultation with partners was agreed and consultation opportunities were identified as follows:

- School Sport Partnerships
- District Sports Forums
- Facility Managers Group
