About Active Derbyshire
Get Active or Into Sport with Active Derbyshire
Our simple goal... more people, more active, more often
Active Derbyshire is a countywide campaign to encourage and support you to become more active by providing the information you need to get started, inspire you to try new challenges and motivate you to carry on.
We're not just here for the sporty types. We want to help everyone, no matter what your age or ability or fitness level.
Whether you want to join a jogging group for the first time, are a wheelchair user who wants to take up a new sport or someone who wants to challenge your work colleagues to get more active, there are a whole host of opportunities open to you.
Search activities and events near you
We'll help you find activities, clubs, classes and events where you live. Our easy-to use online Club and Activity Search has everything from archery to Zumba®, from the northern edge of the Peak District to the South Derbyshire border.
If you're a coach, instructor, club or event organiser then please register your profile and follow our step-by-step guide that shows you how to register yourself, your club or group, your sessions/activities and any volunteering opportunities.
It's easier to stay motivated if you exercise with others and getting fit can help you make new friends. Research shows it also helps if you challenge others, and you can do so with #MyChallenge.
We can also give also ideas to help you get started and carry on with good news stories, expert opinion. You can sign up for our e-newsletter and to tell us your success stories, you can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
