She was selected by NISA to represent Great Britain in the Advanced Novice Category at the Volvo Cup in Latvia, having been part of the UK Talent Potential Squad, and finished seventh in the Advanced Novice category at the British Championships and third in the free skate at the British Junior Championships.

Abby says: "This season was my first at Junior level (under-19s) having moved up from Advanced Novice (under-15s).

"At my first attempt in March 2016, I qualified for this years British Championships as a Junior which is being held in December 2016. With just over seven weeks to go I am in full competition preparation mode and my aim is to finish in the top 10 in my first season.

"I travel from Derbyshire to my home rink in Solihull, Birmingham four days a week for on and off ice training with my coach, Debbie Keeley. I also travel to Sheffield twice a week for a lesson with Helen Green and also for practice.

"Twice a week I visit West Park Leisure Centre to use the gym facilities using my leisure pass awarded to me on the Derbyshire ICON bursary programme 2015.

Over the next 12 months, I will be working towards an international selection for Team GB in early 2017, maintaining my qualification for the UK Talent Potential Squad of which I am currently a member and breaking the top 10 of the UK National Rankings."
