Abbie Milwain.

Abbie is a 22-year-old table tennis player from Chellaston, who has won two British Universities titles, claiming a bronze medal in the singles and silver medal in doubles . She also helped her club, Draycott East Mildands, to finish as Women's British League Team Champions for 2016.

Abbie says: "This year being my final year at university means it's a good year to train hard and play as much as possible.

"Some of my targets for this year are to win a medal in the British University Championships, become ranked in the top seven English women and to win one of the British Grand Prix events.

"I try to train three times a week, as well as a separate match-play session. I also go to the gym and run to keep my fitness up.

"I've been supported by ICON for a number of years now which helps me pay for tournaments, training, accommodation and travel. My main ambition for the coming years is to be able to represent my country at senior level."
