The 21-year-old table tennis player, from Derby and a student at Keele University, is a member of the Draycott and Long Eaton Table Tennis Club and won a bronze medal in the doubles at the Senior National Championships and two bronzes at the BUCS Championships (singles and doubles).
Abbie says: "I currently train up to four times a week at Keele University and Draycott Table Tennis Club in Derby. I travel home to Derby around two times a week to train at my club.
"I also try to go to the gym or go running during the week when I have time, as well as studying for a masters in Physiotherapy.
"Last year I did very well in the British table tennis Grand Prix circuit, winning two major events and coming second overall in the ratings. I will be looking to improve on this, hoping for some more victories in some of the big tournaments.
"I am also looking forward to the senior nationals championships in March, hoping to possibly medal in the singles and doubles events. Another goal of mine would to be ranked in the top five in England and Britain, currently being ranked at number six in England and sevenin the British rankings.
"My other goals include representing the England National team again and being a part of the Senior squad. My long term goals would be to possibly represent my country at a major event such as the commonwealth games or Olympics."
